CRANE OPERATOR APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING
There are 3 branches of crane in which an individual can be trained.

BRANCH 1 – MOBILE CRANE OPERATOR

BRANCH 2 – BOOM TRUCK HOIST OPERATOR

BRANCH 3 – TOWER CRANE OPERATOR

All Crane Operator branches are compulsory trades, and you are required to be a registered apprentice prior to taking any training.

Boom Truck Operator (over 8 tons).  This is not a red seal certified trade but does require a provincial certification. You must also be a registered apprentice prior to taking any training.

Crane and Hoist operators are trained to maintain and operate a variety of cranes and associated equipment designed to lift, move, position, and hoist heavy construction site materials.  Having a Class 1 driver’s license is recommended.

OETIM in partnership with Red River College delivers this training on behalf of Apprenticeship Manitoba.
