Course Descriptions:

Safe-T-Disc (CSTS)
This course deals with all aspects of safety on the job site. Topics include safe work practices and procedures, hazards, PPE, ladders & scaffolding, machinery, evacuations, emergency response, and WHMIS. Once completed students recieve a certificate with a 3-year expiration date.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods
This course deals with safe work practices, emergency procedures, transport, general awareness, shipping papers, and manifests. Once completed students recieve a certificate with a 3-year expiration date.

W.H.M.I.S.
This course emphasizes practical application in the workplace and is designed to provide basic understanding of WHMIS. Some topics are: Material Safety Data Sheets, Labels and Training Requirements, and Controlled Products. It is offered in the L.I.F.E. Lab using state of the art computers or in a classroom format.
